Presented for sale is a late 19th century to early 20th century Dresden porcelain three-part urn with stand, urn, and cover. The vase is heavily encrusted with flowers and fruit, and the cover is topped with a beautifully formed parrot. A handpainted neoclassical scene dominates one side while a bouquet of flowers graces the other. The vase is attributed to the Dresden workshops of Carl Thieme, who has been recognized for his extraordinary floral encrusted creations.
The suite is in excellent condition, usually one can find some tiny bits of broken flower petals on pieces of this age, but we have yet to locate one.
Size: 21 1/2" Height.
