Presented for sale a Miles Mason blue & white gilt-clobbered teapot, circa 1807 – 1813. The teapot pattern copies the styles of the Oriental ceramics that Mason had retailed earlier in the 18th century, which had been imported by the East India Company. By this time, Mason had produced a white bone china and focused mostly on making tea, coffee, and dessert services. Many of these pieces were transfer printed in underglaze blue patterns.

The pattern name on this teapot is Broseley Willow, which has been copied by other potters as well. The teapot is in excellent condition; the cover has a noticeable restoration to the knop.

Size: 6 ¼" Height by 10" Length.
