Offered for sale is a stunning Royal Crown Derby porcelain ewer decorated in a pink ground of elongated melon form with a conical spout. The ewer is decorated in floral raised gilt enamels with bas-relief decoration on the neck.
Derby Porcelain, one of England's most famous potters, began on Nottingham Road in 1756. King George III granted Derby the prestigious right to incorporate the crown into their backstamp. In 1877, they moved to Osmaton Road, which began their modern period and the use of their present name, Royal Crown Derby. They have remained one of the world's most prestigious porcelain manufacturers. Their pieces are highly desirable for their intricate beauty and artistic workmanship.
The ewer is in mint condition with little to no loss of enamel or gilt.
Size: 13" Height.
