Presented for sale is a pair of 19th century Paris Porcelain figural perfume stoppered bottles in the manner of Jacob Petit. The figures depict Scottish Highlanders dressed in their native garb and seated in contemplative poses. The workmanship and enameling on these figures is extraordinary- they are hand painted in plaid with scarves over their shoulders. At their feet, lay the animals collected from a day of hunting and each wears a Tam decorated with hackled feathers that also serve as stoppers.

The figures are in excellent condition with the exception of a scratch to the enameling on the side of the woman's skirt. They are unmarked save for a "No 40", probably because they once had platforms, but are most surely the work of the great French porcelain decorator, Jacob Petit.
