Presented for sale is an elegant Irish Georgian flip-top mahogany gaming card table. The table is serpentine shaped with turret corners opening to reveal recessed guinea pit and drink wells, the surface felt-lined. It is supported on unusual cabriole telescoping legs terminating in snake feet with shell carved knees.
The table has a beautiful aged patina to the finish and is in good condition with professional restoration to one of the legs and minor indication of past insect infestation, which is no longer present. The back legs swing out to support the hinged top. Later felt top is not original to the piece and somewhat loose.
Size: 28" Height by 17 ½" Depth (35" square opened,) by 32" Width.
