Presented for sale is a rare 18th century French Provincial oak carved Buffet à Deux-Corps. The shaped cornice, with carved crest, surmounts a step-back cabinet with individual glazed panels separated by carved muntins; the wavy glass appears to be original. The interior is covered in fabric.
The base contains two doors with carved panels and opens to reveal shelves. The 2nd door deadbolts are all present (top and bottom sections), and are made from hand forged wrought iron. The buffet is in excellent age appropriate condition with a superb patina to the wood. The top lock is missing from the door but the escutcheon is present; the bottom lock is workable and the key is present.
