Presented for sale is a rare 18th century, circa 1765, Royal Worcester molded oval shaped dish with reticulated handles. The dish is decorated in a raised basket weave pattern with arched rim. Each side is embellished with bas-relief grape leaves and open grapevine handles. The bowl is outlined in puce highlighted with gilt. Each arch is handpainted with insects and floral sprig decoration.
The dish is in excellent condition, with vivid coloration and gilding, minor age related glaze crazing present but hardly noticeable.
