Offered for sale is a lovely circa 1830 Worcester Flight, Barr and Barr period armorial porcelain plate. The plate features a gilt edged puce rim with an armorial to the sole with mantle, helm and lion crest, motto, Semper Fidelis.
Thomas Flight purchased the Worcester factory founded in 1751 by Dr. Wall and his associate, William Davis, in 1783. In 1792, Martin Barr joined the firm as a partner. The date of 1783 - 1840 is now identified as the Flight & Barr period of Worcester porcelain.
The plate is in very good condition with minor scratches and use marks to the puce border, and minor gilt wear.
