19th C. French Inkwell Bronze On Marble Stand

Offering an exquisite petite 19th century bronze inkwell cast in the shape of an overflowing woven basket laden with fruit and flowers. The basket is bolted to a molded marble stand. The hinged lid opens to reveal a glass inkpot.

The casting is finely detailed and the inkwell is in excellent condition with a lovely warm patina to the aged bronze. This item is perfect for a small desk or vanity.
