Presenting a rare 1820 small scale or petite English Regency sideboard raised on tapered vase and ring turned legs. The sideboard features a beautiful rosewood veneered top with a steeple shaped back splash embellished with inlays. The top is finished in a sandalwood border and surmounts a single locking velvet lined center drawer flanked by two locking velvet lined wine drawers. An arched inlaid panel finishes the base of the center drawer.
The sideboard is embellished with exceptional embossed pulls and the piece is in excellent age related condition. There is a slight very tight age crack to one side and a professional repair to the very end of the back splash, which had broken off and is now restored.
This is an exceptional and elegant piece with gorgeous patina to the woods, but most of all, its petite size allows you to put it on a smaller wall and yet its proportions remain truly classical.
Size: 37" Height (including 4" back splash), 44" Width, 22" Depth.
