An early 20th century German Dresden porcelain figurine depicting two formally dressed young boys playing with a fancy carriage. They are dressed in 18th century clothing resplendently hand painted in gilded florals, scrolls, and highlights.
Their facial features are nicely detailed and the figures are mounted on an oval platform base. This mark was used in the small specialty decorating studios found in and around Dresden, Germany in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The figurine is in very good condition; there is a repair to the thumb of the boy with the outstretched hand, a small flaw with old glue marks present. The figure is a heavy porcelain of very nice quality and would make a lovely centerpiece on any table.
Size: 10" Height x 11" Length.
