19th C. Walnut Wood Hand Turned Treenware Canister
Handsome 19th century hand turned American Treenware (woodenware) canister with lid. The beautiful wood grain is untouched and the turnings are very well executed by a master carver.
The canister is quite large and in good age related condition with age cracks present in the wood, and a flattened section running from the base to midway up the canister on one section (about 1 inch at widest point.) This is a lovely primitive piece for the collector of these antique turned pieces.
Size: 9 ½" Height by 5" Diameter.
