We're delighted to present an exceptional Southern Germany made mid 18th century crossbanded walnut commode with serpentine shaped front. The commode features a quarter-veneered top with two square banded panels surmounting a carcass with three long drawers supported on flattened bun feet.

Each drawer is outlined in banding and veneered with book-matched burled walnut panels. Each drawer supports a lock with original pulls. The sides are similarly decorated with a banded square.

The commode is in superior aged condition, superbly constructed by hand, and features a rich patina to the seasoned wood. It is structurally very sound, of substantial weight, and large size The locking mechanisms are present on all drawers.

Size: 31 ½" Height by 53" Width by 26 ½" Depth.
