Offered for sale is a 19th century repoussé sterling silver easel mirror in an all-over finely chased pattern of birds, lilies, vines, and cherubs. The silver frame is mounted on a velvet wrapped wooden backing. The beveled looking glass shows wonderful appropriate, signs of aging, so desirable in these older pieces. The incredible workmanship is evident on every inch of the stunning frame.
The mirror is marked as shown, with "Sterling" and the Dominick & Haff hallmark; the mirror also has a monogrammed center cartouche. A rare and hard to find large size, the mirror would be an elegant showpiece for any vanity or desk. The easel stand is present but a little loose, attached stopping ribbon is a replacement but everything else is original.
