Presented for sale is a French Rococo bronze and marble clock garniture set by Vincenti & Cie, 1855. The marble cased clock is enhanced with finely cast bronze embellishments including the bronze figures of Cupid and Psyche, while the base of the clock is supported on a bronze platform cast as a valance mounted on hairy paw feet.
The clock is flanked by four-arm candelabras being upheld by draped cherubs perched on marble pedestals, the base similarly supported on a bronze valance draped platform. The bronze sculptures were cast after Etienne Maurice Falconet (1716-1791), marked as shown.
The clock set comes with pendulum and key, all works intact.
