Offered for sale is a French Coronet Limoges hand painted game bird plate depicting a pheasant standing in a wooded landscape.
Coronet Limoges were decorated in studios in Limoges and Paris, France and were imported by George Borgfeldt to the United States. His company was in business from 1881 to 1976. His Limoges game bird plates were one of his specialties, many of them sold by high end retailers to collectors of fine china.
The colors are vividly portrayed and the image is finely painted, signed by the artist, "A. Remi." the plate features a scalloped border with gilded rim. The plate is in excellent condition with minor gilt wear to the rim.
