Offered for sale is a spectacular early 19th century Rococo carved asymmetrical mirror of Italian origins with a heavy carved and molded giltwood frame. The looking glass is surrounded by open carved scrolls, including a pair of mythical birds flanking the upper quadrant of each side along with pomegranates and acanthus leaves.
The mirror is in excellent condition with minor restoration to the scrolled frame with an aged patina to the gilded finish that has darkened to perfection. The beveled looking glass is somewhat later.
*The mirror is very heavy, crating along with "white glove service" for delivery will be highly recommended.
