An ornate date marked 1928 Dutch silver serving spoon with a finely engraved center medallion depicting a tavern scene, a trefoil bowl with pierced carved frame, and a twisted handle with a man perched on top playing bagpipes. This wonderful spoon is typical of the whimsical fascinating silver designed by the Dutch silver masters.
The spoon is marked as shown, maker not identifiable, in excellent condition with beautiful cut-work and detailed engraving.
