A rare and collectible 18th century naughty French bonbonnière of soft past porcelalin after the workshop of Mennecy. The box is beautifully handpainted and in excellent condition.

Bonbonnières were created to hold candied sweetmeats or nuts used to improve the breath. They were cherished and displayed on the tabletops of the aristocracy during much of the 18th and early 19th centuries.
