A matching set of 12 incredible Copeland Spode Imari style plates, circa 1891-1910, with fluted gilt edges and panels of vividly hand colored enamels surrounding a floral center highlighted in gilt. These plates were produced for a short period around the late 19th century when Spode revised some of its most popular designs from earlier period patterns books. Most of these styles were based on Imari designs.
To find a set of matching plates in this condition is rare, they would be magnificent for display purposes; all in excellent condition with minor paint wear; one with small chip on reverse.
Size 10 ¼" diameter.
