Julius Scheuerer, 1859-1913, was a noted German artist who had a distinguished career painting animals, mostly of the avian variety, and placing them in idyllic pastoral settings. Mr. Scheuerer was also an avid lifelong student of the behavioral habits and anatomical science of birds.
