A rococo style Dresden Von Schierholz footed centre bowl with flower encrusted and hand painted decoration. The bowl has serpentine edges and is supported on C-scrolled legs, attended by a pair of delightful full-figured cherubs, standing on either end.
Von Schierholz is a long standing porcelain manufacturing company that was founded in Thuringia, Germany in 1817. It quickly became known for its production of fine porcelain vases, compotes, and figural items in the style of Meissen. The factory recently celebrated their diamond Jubilee.
The bowl is in very good condition with minor flower flakes and a suspected repair or firing flaw to one of the fingers of a cherub; size 6 ¼" H x 12" L.
