Presenting for sale is an exceptional set of ten 19th century bas-relief capodimonte-style porcelain cups & saucers made in Germany after the style of Royal Naples. The cups feature intertwined branch handles with a procession of mythological high relief scenes and a flower petal base. The inside of the cups are decorated in a gilt-scrolled rim lined with floral sprays. The saucers are likewise decorated with a raised floral border and scrolls, an inner border of bas-relief petals, and a floral bouquet mid center. The hand decorated workmanship is of excellent quality with very fine detail.
The work is typical of the earlier style of the Royal Naples Factory but was likely produced in Germany of hard paste porcelain. The set is in excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age.
