Beautiful French hard-paste porcelain box in the Capodimonte style with deep bas-relief Putti in a continuous procession around the box holding up a large garland of fruit and flowers. In our opinion, the German and French renditions of Capodimonte pieces in the hard paste porcelain are of much finer quality and detail than the Italian pieces. The box has a bronze enclosure supporting a gilded lid with a raised garland of grape leaves. The relief decoration is very fine and the hand painted colors very robust and vibrant; in excellent condition with a very minute amount of paint wear.
