Magnificent early 19th century English china dessert set consisting of 12 pieces, each piece hand painted in the center with varying bouquets of fruit in rich detail. The pieces have scalloped reticulated edges painted in turquoise blue enamel and decorated with raised beading. The 4 Compotes are raised on tripartite bases with scrolled feet and partitions. Every piece is superbly gilded. The set resembles the work of Coalport, but is not marked. Many earlier pieces from the English factories remain without marks, but can sometimes be identified by their patterns.
The workmanship and detail are of the highest quality, fit for the most fastidious of collectors. The set is in pristine condition, as if it has never been used, with the exception of one piece of scrolled decoration missing from the base of one compote.

2 Shorter Compotes: 2 ¾" H x 9 ¼" Diameter
8 Dessert Plates: 9 ¼" Diameter.
