Presented for sale is a late 19th century French Louis XVI three drawer Kingwood commode with Tulipwood banded and floral inlays. The commode is further enhanced with ormolu mounts; each drawer has a locking escutcheon with swagged pulls. The commode is raised on tapered legs that are cornered and topped with bronze capitals.
The commode is mounted with a conforming Breche d'lep marble top and is in very good age appropriate condition. There has been minor restoration to a few pieces of missing veneer. The commode is of a hard to find size, small enough to fit a tight entrance hall or room.
