Presented for sale is a stunning circa 1940-1960 German Porcelain Figural Grouping made by Unterweissbach depicting a young woman being serenaded by her lover with her lamb by her side. The figures are disarmingly posed with beautiful features, delicate hands, and fine detailing on the enamels and lace.
Unterweissbach of Thuringia, Germany was founded in 1882 and production increased from plates and kitchenwares to fine decorative porcelain. This grouping was created during the Heinz Schaubach era after he stepped up the production of finer pieces in the Meissen and Dresden manner.
The grouping is in almost excellent condition; the fine lace does have a few losses, very typical for pieces of this nature and delicacy, but overall about 98% intact, no other losses.
Size: 7 1/4" Height by 9" Length.
