Offered for sale is a late 19th to early 20th century German porcelain elephant figurine made by the factory of Ernst Bohne Sons (later Albert Stahl & Company) of Rudolstadt, Thuringia, Germany. The elephant is beautifully hand-painted in white blushed with pink and is saddled with an embroidered blanket.
The elephant is a nice heavy finely detailed piece of hard paste porcelain in excellent condition, with the exception of a professional restoration to the tip of one tusk.
