Offered for sale is a superb and rare blue and white Chinese Export Qianlong period tazza painted in underglaze blues with a landscape setting on a river, circa 1780. It is made from very high quality heavy porcelain and decorated with a shaded border.
This tazza is in excellent condition, free of any breaks, with a firing flaw to the interior of the pedestal/stand as shown (original to the piece.) It is part of an important collection that was assembled by a prominent Nashville collector over 50 years ago, most of the collection having been purchased from leading New England galleries.
