We would like to offer a substantial pair of early 20th century cast bronze sconces in the Louis XVI style. The sconces have a classically shaped acanthus leaf backplate surmounting a fluted basket. The basket holds three large u-shaped arms each hung with wreaths terminating in tulip shaped nozzles with rococo swirled bobeches. The sconces are fitted for electricity.
The sconces are in excellent condition with an even mellow patina present to the bronze finish, ready to hang. They are accompanied by pleated shades and once hung in the home of a well-known New York designer.
