Offered for sale is an outstanding French Louis XVI style ormolu and patinated Mantel Clock, circa 1860, with "Vor Dewint Her à Paris", stamped inside (Victor Dewint, Horloger (watchmaker), Paris). The clock case is chiseled red griotte marble paneled with a procession of classical bronze figures and a marble dial with Roman numerals. Atop the clock rests a triple patinated bronze tazza with extraordinary detail featuring two lioness or jaguar figures.

The clock is in excellent condition, the bronze is finely cast and the patination without flaw. The clock should be adjusted to run after shipment; the pendulum is present.
