Highly collectible antique piece of pottery from Charente from Southwestern France. It is a rare and very old French walnut oil jar with its irregular lines, dating around 1850’s, made of stoneware and glazed. This piece comes from a village of Charente, in the Cognac area. In the 1800's, people used this pottery to keep walnut oil (Many walnut trees in this region of France). No cracks, one chip at top part as you can see on photo. h-8.25/ w-6.5/ d-6.5 We ship from Texas (not from France)!
