Highly collectible antique piece of pottery from Charente from Southwestern France. It is a rare and very old French walnut oil jar with its irregular lines, dating around 1850’s, made of stoneware and glazed. This piece comes from a village of Charente, in the Cognac area. In the 1800's, people used this pottery to keep walnut oil (Many walnut trees in this region of France).
