This is a wonderful ancient Pre-Columbian JALISCO STANDING FEMALE FIGURE, Jalisco, Western Mexico, Late Pre-Classic Period, ca. 200 BC – AD 200.

This majestic figure stands with her hands out at her sides, looking straight ahead with a tall headdress and extensive traces of original polychrome decoration. This Rare Antique Pre -Columbian is a ceramic Figure depicting a standing female with large rounded proportions overall. She is standing on large arched feet, her foreshortened arms outstretched, voluminous breasts and broad shoulders adorned with a necklace. Painted overall in white buff paint.
It measures 7.25” high, 5.75” wide and is in good original ancient condition. PROVENANCE: This wonderful item comes directly from a Texas estate.
