So pleased to present this large & EXQUISITE Victorian Paste Antique Pendant, circa 1900.

Expertly hand constructed in a strong, sturdy minimum .800 Silver setting, it features 16 crisp purple Amethyst Paste Stones ! Such a gorgeous color, the dazzling pastes are all prong set & sparkle like crazy as they catch the light ! The bail has its own Amethyst Paste & is roomy enough to accommodate a large chain or small-beaded necklace !

Paste stones are specially made glass with lead added so they would take a polish well and add sparkle even more closely matching that of diamonds. They are Not molded, but were all hand faceted by gem cutters, just the same as they faceted diamonds or sapphires....

Unmarked, it acid tests as Silver, the content .800 to possibly .850 silver purity.

It measures a wonderfully LARGE 2.9" long by 1.65" wide, including the articulated bail. In fabulous condition, it weighs 9.60 grams.
