19th century cutlery, with bone handles in a toy or children's size. Could also be used as doll accessories. These are early, hand forged iron utensils with bone handles. Included in the tote are 6 knives , 6 forks, and 5 pewter spoons, all scaled as toys or for use by children. The cutlery tote is really nice, in steel and decorated porcelain. Mark on the bottom ends in N Y , so most likely Germany. The tote measures 4.5 inches by 3 inches by 1.5 inches high. The bone handled forks measure 3 inches long. The knives measure 3.5 inches long. Only issue is damage to one of the knives, but it can be displayed on the other side. I have not cleaned the mild oxidation , since I like to see signs of age and use, and present as found. The iron can easily be cleaned. One fork has a little bend in one tine, but remember these are over 140 years old. This set would be great in a kitchen or dining tableau with dolls. If you love early, hand made, bone handled utensils, you will love this miniature set.
