Antique very early wrought iron or steel sewing scissors. These are not commercial, but blacksmith made scissors. Sewing size 3.25 inches by 1.5 inches. These are very finely made, with all file marks showing. They are a dark steel color, showing spots of oxidation, but not much. They can be cleaned if you wish, but I love seeing the old dark patina on these. I see no identifying markings. Even though they have seen 150 years of use, they are in great condition. They are very sharp, both the cutting edges and the points. So well crafted, they can cut any fabric. No nicks to the blades, just a bit of rust. If you collect sewing scissors, these seem to be very early.
