Set of 6 cloisonne napkin rings with butterflies and flowers. These are Japanese in origin, and date to the late 1890's. They are in excellent condition. Very good quality cloisonne enamel work, with gilt wires, and high polish. Each one is different, of course, since they are hand made, but each one has a panel with butterflies. Other panels have colorful flowers, which are all different. Green counter enamel on the inside for strength. These are mounted in gilt brass, with gilt brass wire work. Each one is in perfect condition, no losses, no scratches, no lines. Amazing to find these in such clean condition, since it is a usable object. They are the same size as other turn of the century napkin rings, exactly 2 inches in diameter and 1 inch height. Beautiful, tight wire work , and colorful enamels, some with shading within the cloisons. Whether you collect antique napkin rings, or Japanese cloisonne' enamel, this is a clean usable set that can dress up your dinner party.
