Antique sugar shaker in green opalescent glass. This shaker is in the consort pattern, which is a mold blown pattern. There are a few companies that made early coinspot. This one is called Bulbous Base Coinspot, and was made by Beaumont Glass Company in 1895. You can see the various coin spot sugar shakers in the book Syrups, Sugar Shakers, and Cruets, by Heacock, on page 19. This one is a pretty color, green opalescent, with large opal spots. Condition is perfect, no issues at a all. Original lid, made of tin. Lid has nice old patina, one little split, only 1/8 inch. See photo. It fits perfectly if you want to use the shaker. You will see a little roughness to the top rim, but this is natural from usage, as these were top cut at the factory in 1895. A beautiful antique shaker for your collection, in a shape that you don't often see. Height 5 inches exactly.
