There is brick red, and green enamels, with much gold tracery. Geometric patterns alternate with reserves if plants. The inside decoration of beautiful foliate design is on the border and on the bottom. These are on the large size for traditional tea bowls, tea cups. Diameter 3.75 inches. Height 2.5 inches. Fluted petal shape. Date last quarter 19th century, origin Imari region of Japan. These are finely painted examples for your tea collection.
