Art Deco art glass vase by Moser or one of Moser's contemporaries in Czechoslovakia / Bohemia. This heavy cut glass vase has acid etched cameo decoration of geishas and deer and calligraphy, going all around the vase. The figures are gold gilt. The background is an acid etched stippled effect, looking like the glue chip technique. The bottom features hand cut panels, and the top is also cut. This vase was made c. 1925 to 1930. The pink color is similar to Moser's Rosalit, although it does not change color under different lights. That leads me to believe it is one of the other companies making similar art deco products. The style is Vienna Secessionist. Beautiful design and form. Size is 7.25 inches high. Mouth is 6.25 inches diameter. This vase weighs 3 pounds, 7 ounces. Very heavy blown blank is 1/2 inch thick. Made with skill and precision. There are no Czech markings on the bottom that I can see, but then again there is wear on the base, normal, from how heavy the piece is. Other than that, condition is good. No chips, no repairs. When I use a magnifying glass, I found one tiny flake on one of the cut facets on the top. It is as small as a pin prick, so you can barely see it. Barely worth mentioning but I am very diligent. Gold is in excellent condition. A gorgeous, well designed piece of vintage Bohemian / Czech glass for your collection.
