This striking and elaborate Chinese silver bracelet is a masterpiece of old Chinese jewelry and must be seen to be believed!! . Now I understand why this fine jewelry is so highly collectible....The bracelet displays beautiful craftsmanship and is a one-of-a-kind item. It's similar to the fine cannetille work of the Georgian and Victorian periods and appears to be a Chinese export item as indicated by the "S925" mark.
It measures approximately 7 inches by 1 inch, weighs approx. 1.4 ounces. There are also several other hallmarks, which unfortunately are illegible. It is comprised of 7 hinged panels, all heavily adorned in cobalt blue, dark green, and sea foam color enameling, very much resembling peacock feathers. The center focal point of each panel is a bezel set amethyst cabochon. All enamel is in near mint vintage condition with no enamel nor color loss. The amethyst stones are also in great condition with no chips, cracks nor darkening whatsoever. The box clasp is functional and it also has the original figure-eight safety clasp.
I am available for any questions.
