Vintage 1960s Louis Feraud Paris Coat Military Style Black Wool Gabardine Ladies Large
Label: Louis Feraud Paris. Louis Feraud (1920-1999) opened his first boutique in Cannes, France in 1950. He established his couture house in Paris in 1955 and by 1957 was dressing the Parisian elite, designing many of the outfits used by Brigitte Bardot in her movies. He showed his first collection in 1958.
Description: This is a wonderful vintage 60s period black wool knit coat made in a military style. It has a high squared lapel with squared pointy collar that is covered in black velvet. The coat is made in a double breasted style with a double row of four buttons down the front (eight buttons in all). The back of the coat has a decorative belt at the waist. There are wide pleats at either side at the bottom and at the back bottom of the coat. The coat is lined in black satin that has a wool knit facing for extra warmth.

It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odors. This coat looks like it saw little use and was well stored over the years.
This is a sophisticated 60s period coat by a Parisian designer who was at his peak.....sure to be noticed....
