This is a mid century pottery floor vase made by Maurice Chalvignac of Quebec, a noted Canadian ceramicist. It is unsigned, but definitely a Chalvignac signature glaze. The vase is glazed in a brownish black high gloss with orange drips and bands of white frosting. It features an angular shape in the form of an open handled pitcher. The vase is in very good condition with no noted wear, chips or cracks. It measures 19 1/2” in height and 8 1/4” by 7” across its at its base - nice size for floor display. Wonderful mid century pottery floor vase, nice decorative accent for the right decor!
