This is a beautiful quality brown wool coat made by Parisian fashion design house Dejac. Dejac was founded in 1973 and closed its doors in 1997. It had a target market of women who wore classic fashion of high quality. Their clothes had a medium high price point - they were sold in the same boutiques that would sell Dior, Gucci and Chanel. This brown wool coat has wonderful lines, as you would expect from a designer coat. It has angular lines, typical of late 70s or early 80s fashion. It has an asymmetrical or curved four button closure. The collar and cuffs are covered in buttery soft leather. The collar can be worn up to cover the neck and does up with a single button. Adding to the asymmetrical look of this brown wool coat is the placement of the large flapped patch pockets, the right placed higher and the left placed lower. The shoulders are rounded and padded and the sleeves made in a dolman style, tapering down to the cuff. The cuffs closes with two buttons. This brown wool coat is fully lined in brown acetate.
Label: Dejac Paris. This looks to me to be an earlier Dejac label.
Fabric: The content label is missing on this long coat, but this is a wool wool blend. Dejac liked to use quality blends of wool, cashmere, mohair and alpaca in different proportions. Definitely a quality fabric.
Sizing: No size is indicated, but this should fit a medium size - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the thickness of the fabric and the style of the brown wool coat into consideration:
Sleeves: 30 1/2” long from the mid-neck seam to the cuff edge
Sleeve Inseam: 13” long
Bust: 46” around, but difficult to ascertain due to the dolman cut of the sleeve
Waist: 44” around
Length: 36 1/2”
Condition: This brown wool coat is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, soiling or odour.
