From the 1940s here is an iconic example of a ladies suit...very man tailored is this double breasted pinstriped suit with wide shoulder pads and narrow pointed collar. It is made of a fine black wool with a grey pinstripe. Jacket is fully lined in a black silky satin, skirt is unlined and has a metal side zipper and inverted v-pleat at the front of the skirt. It has two hip pockets and one breast pocket. The original six plastic buttons are all there,
Label reads Judith Clark - this was an elegant ladies shop in downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada, address was 1254 Sherbrooke St. West. It was there from 1943 to 1950. The 2nd label reads Posluns which was a well known Canadian ladies clothing manufacturer.
