From the flapper era, here is a bandeau bra made of a pink woven cotton fabric and elasticized insets, straps are cotton as well.
It does up with three hook and eyes at the back. There is no label.
In the 1920s a boyish flat bust line was considered more desirable and the majority of women could only achieve this effect by binding their breasts. These were worn mainly in the early part of the decade, they supported the breasts by compressing them. These bras were constructed by using a simple band of fabric and they were the bras of choice at that time.
Please rely on the following measurements for fit, all given in inches.
Bust: 32 taken in the center of the bra
Bottom of bra: 28 unstretched - 30 stretched out
Overall length: 32 taken at the center laid out openly
Width: 6 1/2
Condition is very good, the only flaw is that the elastic on the left has lost elasticity and elastic on the right is in better shape.
Cute bra to add to a collection!
