This is a vintage 1970s ladies coat made in a striking fuchsia toned wool, a purplish red colour. The wool is in a jersey weave. The coat has padded shoulders, military style lapels, six button double breasted closure, wrist length sleeves with three button cuffs and a slant pocket built into either side. It has chevon stitching across the buttons and it is cut with a defined waistline and with a flare through the body to the hemline, almost like an A line. The coat is fully lined in a raspberry toned satin acetate fabric with a cotton inter-lining.
Fabric: Content label reads 100% wool outershell, 100% acetate lining, 100% cotton inter-lining. The CA textile identification number was assigned to the manufacturer, Roth Stern company of Toronto, Canada. The union logo on the backside of the label was used by Canadian manufacturers from 1968 until 1984.
Sizing: There is no size label, and although this should fit a small to medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the thickness of fabric into account:

Bust: 38” around, taken under the arms
