This is an exceptional quality black metallic lace blouse that dates most likely to the 1940s, but possibly to the early 50s. The blouse has cap sleeves with turned cuffs, a shirt type collar, a form fitting silhouette and does up the back with twelve snaps. The material is made in alternating squares featuring a floral motif against a netlike background and a square featuring a “squiggle” design. The lace is made of black yarn that is interwoven with metallic thread. It is lined in a tan coloured silk georgette.
