This is a wonderful vintage ladies’ dressing gown made of rayon satin fabric that is printed with a striking floral print. The print is in tones of blue, green, yellow and white against a burgundy red background. The robe has wide squared lapels and simply folds over to one side for closure. It has an attached matching satin sash belt that cinches the waist. It has an applied pocket on either lower side - each pocket has a diagonal flap that widens along the opening.
Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this should fit a medium to large size, depending on preference for looseness/tightness of fit, please rely on the following measurements for fit:
Shoulders: 17” across seam-to-seam
Sleeves: 22” long
Sleeve Inseam: 16 1/2” long
Bust: 46” around, taken under the arms, with a normal overlap
Waist: 36” around, meant to be cinched
Hips: Full, meant to fall loosely
Overall length: 55"
Condition: It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, staining, soiling or other defect. This robe looks to have seen little to no use and has been well stored over the years.
These rayon chintz dressing gowns are becoming very difficult to find and satin ones are rarely seen. This is a great example.....striking print!
