This is an authentic vintage Hermes silk twill scarf designed in 1988 by Catherine Baschet titled “Qu’Importe Le Flacon”. The scarf features illustrations of perfume bottles, some of which are Hermes perfumes, clearly indicated within the illustration. The scarf features a cream white or very pale yellow colour with the illustrations being primarily in tones of gold, brown and grey - very rich looking without being gaudy. I believe that this is an original issue of this pattern, bought in 1988.
Label: Made in France 100% Silk Dry Clean Only. Hermes Paris and © Hermes appear within the print
Sizing: 35” square
Condition: It is in very good condition with no wear or odour. There are two light pinhead marks within the printed area and another very light mark in the border area, all very minor and only noticeable upon very close inspection - I’m mentioning this only in the interest of full disclosure and am sure that these would disappear with a professional dry cleaning.
This is a beautiful quality authentic Hermes silk scarf - nice colour way, sure to be treasured!
